Exterior yacht wrapping

The professional method to transform, protect and personalise your yacht with the most advanced marine vinyl films on the market.

Transform and enhance your yacht.

What is yacht wrapping?

Yacht wrapping, also called boat wrapping or boat wrap, is a professional coating technique that involves applying a high-performance vinyl film to the exterior surfaces of a vessel.

Vinyl wrapping has been specially adapted to the demands of the marine environment: prolonged UV exposure, constant contact with salt water, significant temperature variations, and abrasion from mooring and rough seas.

Unlike traditional boat paint, wrapping is a reversible, fast and cost-effective solution that fully preserves the original surface while delivering a very high-quality finish, often superior to that of a standard paint job.

Materials & Finishes

REBELNOBEL exclusively selects premium vinyl films, tested and certified to withstand the most demanding conditions of the Mediterranean.

Films designed for the sea

A marine vinyl film differs from a standard film in its specific formulation: reinforced thickness (minimum 100 µm compared with 60–80 µm for automotive films), certified UV resistance of 2 to 10 years in a marine environment, an adhesive resistant to salt and hot water, and a repositionable adhesive that does not damage surfaces.

The quality of the film directly determines the lifespan of the wrap. An entry-level film applied to a boat in the Mediterranean in high summer will peel off within 12 to 18 months. Our premium films are guaranteed for 2 to 10 years depending on exposure and product range.

Yacht wrapping application areas

REBELNOBEL works on all the exterior surfaces of your yacht. Each area has its own technical challenges, mastered by our teams.

Boat hull wrapping

The hull is the most complex area and the one with the greatest visual impact. It features pronounced curves, concave and convex surfaces and complex waterlines. Our application technique follows every curve perfectly, without bubbles or creases.

Superstructure Wrapping

The superstructure covers all the elements above the deck: exterior saloon, bridge, flybridge, window mullions, fairings. Angular areas, flat and rounded surfaces follow one another. We cut and apply each panel with millimetre precision.

Deck & Hard Top

The deck and the hard top are subject to maximum UV exposure. Special anti-UV, heat-reducing, non-slip or teak-effect films depending on your needs. Deck wrapping also provides mechanical protection against light knocks and mooring scratches.

Radars, Antennas & Domes

Wrapping electronic equipment is a rare speciality that requires precision and expertise. Radars, VHF antennas, Satcom domes and radar arches require perforated or special RF-transparent films to preserve communication and navigation performance.

Tender & Dinghy Wrapping

The dinghy and the tender can be wrapped to match your main yacht perfectly. Ideal for visual consistency across the fleet or to personalise your small craft. Films resistant to docking friction and intense UV.

Decoration, Logos & Graphics

Beyond single-colour wrapping, REBELNOBEL designs and applies custom graphics: yacht name, owner’s logo, hull numbers, decorative stripes, special patterns. Large-format UV printing on vinyl film for a high-quality finish and maximum durability.

Everything you need to know about yacht wrapping (boat wrapping)

What is yacht wrapping?

It is the application of a high-performance vinyl film to the boat’s surfaces (hull, superstructure, deck…). Designed for the marine environment, it is reversible, fast and cost-effective: it transforms the yacht’s appearance while protecting the original surface, often with a finish superior to paint.

How much does yacht wrapping cost?

2 to 5 times cheaper than a full repaint, and the gap widens further on larger vessels. The price depends on the surface area, the chosen film and the condition of the substrate: every project receives a free detailed quote.

How long does the application take?

A complete hull wrap on a 15-metre yacht takes 3 to 5 days, compared with 3 to 6 months in a shipyard for a repaint. The timeframe varies with the size of the vessel and the scope of work.

Does the yacht need to be taken out of the water?

For a complete hull, yes: the wrap is applied out of the water, in a shipyard, for a flawless result. The superstructure, deck or hard top, on the other hand, can be wrapped with the yacht afloat, directly at the quay. We work throughout the Mediterranean.

How long does a wrap last?

Our premium films offer a lifespan of 2 to 10 years depending on the range and exposure. The quality of the film is decisive: a certified marine-grade film withstands UV, salt and heat, whereas an entry-level film will peel off within 12 to 18 months.

Does wrapping damage the original paint or gelcoat?

No. The repositionable adhesive does not harm surfaces: on the contrary, the film adds a protective layer against UV, salt and mooring scratches. It can be removed without damage, which is ideal for restoring the original colour before a resale.

How do you maintain a wrap?

Regular washing with mild soap and water, without wax, polish or abrasive pads. Unlike paint, the film does not need polishing, and a scratch can be repaired with a simple patch in the same colour.

What customisation options are available?

More than 2,000 colours and finishes: matt, gloss, satin, chrome, carbon effect, sharkskin… We also apply the yacht’s name, logos and graphics in high-definition UV printing, and wrap the dinghy, tender and jet ski for a matching fleet.
