What is solar film?

A solar film is a thin technical film applied to the inside of the glass. Clear or tinted, it filters solar radiation while preserving the look and the glazing of your yacht and your premises.

Everything you need to know before you start

How long does it take to apply a solar film?

Most projects are completed in one to three days, depending on the number and size of the windows. For your yacht, the film is applied alongside or in dry dock, without keeping the boat out of service for long.

Does the film make the interior too dark?

No. The films reject heat and glare while letting light through. Several tint levels are available to find the right balance between brightness and protection.

Does the film really block UV?

Yes, up to 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays are filtered. This protects woodwork, leather, fabrics and electronic equipment from fading and premature ageing.

In a marine setting, does the film interfere with navigation equipment?

Ceramic films contain no metal: they do not interfere with GPS, radar or on-board communications. This is the solution we recommend for navigation areas.

What warranty comes with a solar film?

We work with professional films guaranteed for several years against blistering, peeling and fading, depending on the range chosen and the exposure of the boat or your premises.
